I grew up in this place, great library. the design of it is pretty amazing (German architecture). they have a very decent collection of well curated books. nicely done website as well. situated in the happening Lincoln square neighborhood.
Forget about utilizing the internet/printing needs here at this location. The computers are plenty, so I will give them that. However the computers are VERY slow in loading. This has happened on multiple occasions when I try and utilize the computers for printing needs.
This morning, I was trying to print a few documents, obviously having difficulties. The two librarian associates on the second floor sat and watched as I struggled printing issues. VERY unhelpful staff today.
The second floor of this library has a wonderful architectural series of skylights ensuring natural light fills the atmosphere. As far as reading goes, it is amazing. I also really enjoyed the fact that o didn't have to search too hard for an outlet to work. Its great.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I came for IRS booklets and for printing. Never been here before, so I needed help, and they were great in helping me find what I was looking for, and helping me print a document.
This is a regional library, so it is larger and has more materials than most of the other branches. I enjoy coming here. I often use the library to print things off (free up to a certain number of pages) or scan and send (or save) documents or pictures. It’s also set in a lovely location, close to transit, with bike parking.
Very clean public library. Great selection and workspace, however the computers here are TERRIBLE. Printing a single page can take you up to an hour because of the speed and configuration of these machines. They default to Adobe for most file page types which is just the dumbest thing ever. Adobe's internal processes are so taxing on CPUs. The since they require updates all the time it can take up to 25 minutes for a file to display in Adobe. These machines are NOT built for adobe products, please make edge the default page viewer. I really hope someone sees this and changes the configuration soon because it's pathetic how these computers perform.
